Antique Primitive Bentwood Dry Grain Measure / Basket
Beautiful antique bentwood dry measure featuring warm aged wood, black iron bands and crossed iron reinforcement straps on the bottom.
Measures approximately 11.75 inches across and 7 inches tall.
The piece has wonderful natural wood grain and an attractive aged patina. Constructed with a bentwood body, wooden bottom and iron bands/straps with old fasteners. No maker’s mark has been found.
This is an authentic utilitarian piece that makes a wonderful example of primitive Americana and would display beautifully in a farmhouse, country, rustic or early American collection.
Condition:
Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear, marks, scratches and variations in the wood and iron. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description. It has not been refinished or restored.
