VERY RARE!!

This extremely RARE antique 1876 Masonic apron features a purple velvet border and a white satin body, typically adorned with hand-embroidered silver bullion. Over 150yrs old.

• Regalia Style: Resembles a Past

Master apron, commonly

designated by purple trim rather than the blue used for standard

Master Masons.

A beautiful historic apron.

The antique Masonic apron shown is a specialized piece of regalia from 1876

Centennial Exhibition in

Philadelphia, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the United States.

During this era,

Masonic lodges often

commissioned commemorative aprons that blended traditional fraternity symbols with American patriotic themes.

The 1876 Centennial: This was a period of intense American pride and a "golden age" for fraternal organizations. Many Masons wore decorated aprons like this to public processions and celebrations associated with the Centennial.

Artistic Evolution: By the mid-to-late 19th century, Masonic aprons had evolved from utilitarian leather to ornate silk and satin pieces. This example showcases detailed hand-embroidery or bullion work, common for high-ranking members.

Vintage Masonic aprons from the late 19th century are considered SIGNIFICANT pieces of American folk art and fraternal history.

This apron is a historical commemorative piece ( 1876 Centennial)

Emblem Detail: The central emblem is a hand-embroidered silver bullion compass and quadrant.

The year 1876 falls within the Victorian era of Freemasonry, which is highly sought after by collectors due to the distinct, hand-painted, and bullion-embroidered designs used by Grand Lodges.

it does have some wear for its age. The top corner could be sewn to fix wear it came away.
