This antique Thomas Hughes England brown transferware octagonal plate is a stunning piece of pottery that is perfect for any collection. The item features a rich brown aesthetic movement pattern called Sitka with florals, an inset picture of a boat, and a decorated border.
Maker’s mark: printed on bottom- T. Hughes, Burslem. Circa 1860-1876.
Noted Imperfections: crazing, some glaze imperfections including a dark mark on front, a little rough to the touch around edges, no chips or cracks noted. In very good condition for age. Recommend for decoration as not food safe.
