Antique hand-knotted wool carpet from Pakistan. Age is over 80 years, but it is unknown the specific period of origin. The wool is not colorfast as in more recent carpets. Wool pile on cotton foundation. Measures 52 inches wide (4 \' 4\") and 86 inches long (7\' 2\"), which includes 5 inches of fringe on each end. Color is primarily deep red, beige and black. Pre-owned but in excellent condition. Some minor repair along the fringe indicated by black thread (photo #5), but all surfaces are intact. There is minor, faded rust-colored dye bleed in the center, and some red dye bleed along the fringe on one end (photos #2, 4 and 9). Recently professionally cleaned. The carpet has no visible wear. The last five photos show the underside of the carpet with very high quality knots.
