Striking antique Turn-Teplitz Bohemian/Austrian Art Nouveau pottery vase dating to approximately the turn of the 20th century. The tall sculptural form is decorated with elaborate three-dimensional oak branches, overlapping oak leaves and applied acorns, with openwork branches extending around the body and shoulder. Finished in subdued ivory, cream, gray-green and earthy brown tones that emphasize the naturalistic modeling. The underside bears incised numbers that appear to read 2184 2 with an additional 24. The highly organic oak-and-acorn decoration is particularly attractive and strongly reflects the nature-inspired aesthetic of the Art Nouveau period. Approximately 7" tall.
