The decorative metal handle features an elaborate Victorian design. The metal has NOT been tested for silver content, so no claim of sterling silver is being made.
Several of the pale implements appear to be hand-worked bone and show the natural color and surface variation expected from an organic material. Bone was widely used for crochet hooks, bodkins, stilettos and other
needlework implements during the 19th century.
The assortment includes both simple utilitarian pieces and more decorative implements, giving the collection a wonderful variety of forms and construction techniques.
