Antique Vintage Postcards 1908-1941 - includes signed 1909 Ellen Clapsaddle For Sale

Wonderful collection of 35 real postcards from my great grandmother. Most are postally used, with handwritten messages, original stamps and clear postmarks. Postmarks run from 1909 to 1918Featured cards:Season’s Greetings from Pine City, Minn., 1912
This is a scarce embossed card with a pink airbrushed border and gold lettering. It has a raised, applied calendar for “Nineteen Hundred and Twelve” with a Victorian winter couple in a holly frame. Hometown calendar cards like this rarely survive with the attachment intact.
An Ellen Clapsaddle signed Halloween card, with jack-o\'-lanterns riding a gold dirigible and a 1909 copyright.Her Halloween cards were printed in much smaller numbers and have a big following!Other Highlights:

• A John Winsch 1912 \"A Merry Christmas\" card showing children carrying plum pudding
• Heavily embossed \"Merry Christmas\" card with glitter, inset jewels and flocked holly leaves
• One card comes from the Camp Dodge branch post office in Des Moines in May 1918, during the World War I era
• Pine City cards, including a “Tied Up in Pine City” pennant, Lower Snake River, and Senator M.E. Clapp’s summer home on Pokegama Lake
• St. Paul views, including the James J. Hill Residence, the Boat Landing & Depot, Indian Mounds, and Como Park (the Lily Pond, Lagoon, and Mannheimer Memorial)
• A U.S. National Army Cantonment at Camp Dodge, Iowa
• Union Depot in Helena, Montana, and the Spokane Electric Terminal
• An RPPC of Riverside Ev. Lutheran Church in Dawson, MN, plus the Lutheran Church in Algona, IA and the Methodist Church in Mitchell, SD
• Mt. St. Helens before the 1980 eruption, Rosario Beach, Port Angeles, the Washington State Capitol, and Capilano Suspension Bridge in BC
• Embossed Easter, birthday and greetings cards, plus a “Hayward, Wis.” pennant comic card

The towns include Pine City, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Litchfield, Superior WI, Algona IA, Leola SD and Moscow. . The senders include her sisters Hilda and Esther, her cousin Freda, and several friends. A handful of mid-century Pacific Northwest cards are also included. These are mostly unused Union Oil \"76\" scenes, circa 1940s.
The cards show typical age wear, including corner rounding, edge toning, light creases and some soiling. Most are postally used with 1¢ Franklin/Washington and 2¢ Washington stamps. Please see all photos, front and back.
