Beautiful antique Wedgwood Etruria covered vegetable dish, casserole or tureen in cream/yellow earthenware with colorful Chinoiserie-style decoration.
The fitted domed lid features a landscape scene with bridge, rockwork, flowering peonies and a bird in flight. The body is decorated with multicolored floral sprays and large peonies, with transfer-printed outlines enhanced by hand-applied polychrome enamel decoration.
Finished with a distinctive black-and-white checkerboard border, green accent lines, two scrolled handles, pedestal base and fluted floral-form finial.
Marked on the underside WEDGWOOD ETRURIA ENGLAND with additional numeral 4.
