Vintage Original Winter Landscape - Impressionist Study
Description: This is a charming, original early-to-mid 20th-century watercolor painting depicting a serene winter scene. This piece features a small village or cluster of cottages nestled in a snowy valley, captured with soft, impressionistic brushstrokes and a beautiful dusk-toned palette of pinks, mauves, and grays.
The painting is housed in its original, dark-stained period wooden frame under glass, which adds significant character and vintage appeal. The backing shows authentic aging with a brittle paper dust cover and traditional metal glazier points.
Condition:In very good vintage condition. The frame shows minor surface wear consistent with age (see photos). The painting itself remains vibrant with no visible cracking or color loss. The rear dust cover is torn/brittle, as is common for pieces of this era.
Dimensions:
Frame: 6.75\" Width x 5.75\" Height
Image: 4.75\" Width x 3.75\" Height
Artist: Unsigned on front. (Note: I have not removed the backing to check for a signature on the board).
