A fantastic original antique wooden flour bin with a beautiful deep patina and real character throughout.
This is a genuine period piece, solidly constructed with traditional banded design and a removable lid. It has aged exactly how you want — rich colour, wear in the right places, and a proper authentic feel.
What makes this one stand out is the original stamp to the base:
“GP 13C LONDON” with crown
This indicates Government Property / British issue storage, adding a layer of history and making it far more interesting than your average rustic bin.
Perfect as: – Statement side table
– Lamp / plant stand
– Interior design feature
– Period or industrial-style home
It works brilliantly in both modern and traditional settings — exactly the sort of piece interior designers look for.
Condition is good for its age. There are signs of wear, marks and age-related character as expected, which all add to its appeal. The lid sits well and removes easily.
📏 Size: 57cm high 36cm across, approx
A proper, honest piece with history — not a reproduction.
Rare to find examples with clear London government marking like this.
