Mattelproduced this space shuttle in 1997.It’s based on the shuttle from the movie “Armageddon”. It’s the largest version of the shuttle thatHot Wheels produced for the movie. It’sabout 11 inches long. The shuttle comeswith a scaled armadillo vehicle that fits in the cargo bay of the shuttle.
I’veclassified the space shuttle as used because of major damage to the box. See pictures.Because of that damage, I opened the box to check contents. The box’s contents are still sealed on theirinternal packaging and are in pristine condition. They are 100% complete including theinstructions, decals on their sheet and the instructions for decal placement. Mattel usedglue to seal the display box. Therefore,there is tearing on the flaps which was caused when it was opened. Review pictures for condition of shuttle andbox. Please note that any bright spotson the pictures are caused by camera flash.
The shuttle andits accessories are still new in the box.The accessories are still factory sealed in plastic bags. The shuttle has never been played with or displayed. The box and its contents have been stored ina no/low light, dry and smoke free environment since purchased new. It has been safely stored for almost threedecades.
I think thebest feature of the shuttle is the launching/ejecting cockpit. That wasn’t in the movie, nonetheless, it’s acool feature.
