Authentic Thai or Burmese hand-hammered silver offering bowl from the late 19th or early 20th century. It features a classic floral vine pattern and an engraved shield cartouche. The base features a beautiful, traditional radiating sunburst or wheel design with a central circular mark, which confirms its authenticity.
The hand-chased triangular textured borders lining the sunburst spokes match the aging patterns of authentic regional antique trade silver, which was 80-90% silver as opposed to 9.25. The natural dark tarnish settled deep inside the grooves proves its age and should not be polished away.
This is a pre-owned antique item which has not been polished or aggressively cleaned. The original patina is intact.
