Q1. How to measure the correct spacer thickness.
Place a straight edge against the outermost part of the wheel rim/tire, then measure the gap from the wheel face to the fender lip. For a safe daily-driver setup, we recommend choosing a spacer that is2–3mm thinnerthan that measurement.

Q2. How to determine the correct bolt/stud length.
Required bolt/stud length = Original bolt length+ Spacer thickness.
When you purchase a BONOSS wheel spacer + wheel bolt kit, the BONOSS team will match the correct extended bolts for your setup.

Q3. How to install BONOSS wheel spacers.
BONOSS provides detailed installation instructions with every kit for your reference.
First, thoroughly clean the wheel mounting surface and the original hub face. If there is any rust, use a professional rust remover to clean it off.
For vehicles with lug nuts (stud-mounted):
BLM:BONOSS nuts secure the spacer to the hub; factory lug nuts secure the wheel to the spacer.
BLS:Replace the factory studs with BONOSS extended studs; factory lug nuts secure the wheel to the spacer.

For vehicles with lug bolts (bolt-mounted):
BL:Use BONOSS extended bolts that pass through the wheel and spacer, threading into the hub.
BLA:BONOSS studs are installed into the spacer to secure it to the hub; factory lug bolts secure the wheel to the spacer.

Q4. What if I switch to different wheels later?
When changing new wheels, you need to check the following:

• PCD (bolt pattern)
• Center bore (hub bore)
• Lug seat type(e.g., 60° cone seat, R13, R14)

If the new wheels have thesame PCD and center boreas your vehicle, you can reuse your spacers (assuming thickness still works).
If they differ, you'll need awheel adapter. BONOSS offers custom adapters – just contact us with your vehicle'smake, model, yearand the new wheel specs.

Q5. My tires rub the fender liner after installing spacers – how do I fix it?
If the liner isplastic, you can gently reshape it:

• Use aheat gunto warm the rubbing area until soft.
• Push the plasticinward/backwardwith a tool to gain clearance.
• Hold it in place until it cools – it will retain the new shape.

Note: This works for plastic liners only. Do not attempt on metal components.

Q6. What if vibration occurs?
BONOSS spacers are precision-machined to within 0.02mm tolerance, so vibration is highly unlikely under normal conditions.
If vibration does occur, please check the following:

• Hub and wheel mounting surfaces– Make sure the hub face and wheel mounting surface are completely clean and free of rust. Any debris or corrosion can prevent the spacer from seating flush.
• Torque and tightening sequence– Always use a torque wrench and tighten lug nuts/bolts in a star/crisscross pattern to the specified torque.Neveruse an impact gun (air or electric) for installation.
• Spacer type– If you are using a spacer without a hubcentric ring , the chance of vibration is significantly higher. We strongly recommend hubcentric spacers for a vibration-free fit.
• Wheel alignment– If you've ruled out all the above and vibration still persists, have your wheel alignment checked by a professional shop.

Q7. My original studs stick out after installing a thin spacer – what now?

If the BLM wheel spacer is too thin and the factory studs protrude past the spacer face, the wheel won't sit flush. You have 3 options:

• Go with a thicker spacer.
• Trim the excess stud length.
• Replace the original studs with extended studs. Use BL wheel spacers, which only support thickness of 15mm or less.

To avoid trimming before you buy:

• Measure yourfactory stud length.
• Measure therecess/pocket depthon the back of your wheel.
• Minimum spacer thickness= Stud length – Recess depth.

We recommend leaving1–2mm extra clearancefor safety.

Note: Some wheels have misaligned recesses – double-check that the studs will actually line up with the pockets.
