ABOUT THIS SANTA
The hockey scene asks the most of the brush. The boy fills a small patch of curved robe. Still, you can pick out the stripes in his scarf, the laces on his skates and the blade of his stick. His tracks loop across the pale blue ice, and snow sits heavy on the cottage roofs. On the back, a gold acanthus crest traced in tiny white dots spreads across his shoulders, and white stars drift down the blue folds below. He\'d make a fine Christmas gift for a hockey family.
