The Comics Journal was a magazine published from 1976 until fairly recently. It was famous for its hard hitting reporting on the comics industry, including its willingness to criticize comics publishers, creators and even readers regarding the production of what they deemed sub-par material. The magazine featured highly informative, and often controversial, interviews with all the greats of the industry, as well as reviews of movies and TV shows related to comics. The letters pages were filled with lengthy communications from comics professionals, often venting their fury at what the Comics Journal, and other professionals, had said. The comics industry of the Seventies and Eighties was fraught with anxiety, and the Journal was a genuine free for all. Back issues provide a real eye-opening time capsule of that era. Here I have issue #41, dated August 1978, of the Comics Journal. It\'s in nice shape, slightly \"rolled\" from long-term storage and showing slight staining at the upper right front cover, but otherwise okay (see scans for condition), and contains an interview with Jim Shooter, as well as news features and reviews. This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Shipping will be combined for multiple purchases.
