This listing is for a rare Chinese gilt bronze censer or incense burner with detailed relief decoration and dual geometric handles. The base is marked with raised Qing Qianlong seal mark, (1736-1795), a period known for its elaborate and high-quality artistic productions, including bronzes. While it is marked with raised Qing Qianlong seal mark, (1736-1795), we do not know the year that it was actually made. The mark may represent or be in honor of the style that was made during that period. We are not certain that the censer itself is from the period. Some small signs of age with minuscule dark spots. It measures about 6.2” diameter x 2.5” diameter; and weighs 600 grams.
