Chinese Ming Swatow or Zhangzhou polychrome Bowl w.Horses, ca.1600, W 8” For Sale

This Ming dynasty (between 1580-1620 ) polychrome bowls features and underglaze blue medallion in the center, depicting a foo lion with a silk ball and a cross-hatched and wave pattern interior and exterior design in overglaze green and red enamels that features floral (interior) and horses (exterior). Has the rustic design of Zhangzhou wares but relatively little sand adhered to the foot. It measures 8” in W and ca 4,1” in H and has thus a good size. Condition is very good with some overpainting to the rim area in one corner which I only detected when inspecting closely in the sunlight (see last shot). Overall in a rare condition for these items because this has not been repainted (with the exception of the restored area) . This came from the antique trade in Manila and was the best specimen of this type I could find in 3 years.
