This is a large collection of vintage Classics Illustrated comic books, with regular issue numbers ranging from #2 through #166.
The lot includes 107 different issue numbers and 116 comics total. Nine issues include two different cover variations: #8, #13, #17, #27, #35, #36, #51, #69 and #75.
The original numbered Classics Illustrated series ran through #169. The following 62 regular issue numbers are not included in this lot: #1, #4, #5, #6, #7, #10, #14, #15, #16, #20, #24, #25, #26, #28, #37, #43, #44, #45, #47, #49, #53, #54, #57, #59, #60, #61, #64, #66, #67, #72, #73, #74, #78, #80, #81, #83, #87, #89, #91, #93, #95, #96, #100, #104, #110, #123, #124, #127, #128, #129, #133, #137, #138, #139, #140, #149, #152, #153, #160, #167, #168 and #169.
Condition varies throughout the collection. Overall, this is a lower-grade lot, with most books generally falling in the Good range, along with some better and some worse examples. A number of books show evidence of glue, tape, repairs and/or reinforcement.
