EARLY COPPER COAL SCUTTLE LION HEAD DELFT-LIKE PORCELAIN HANDLES:
$49.00
Copper coal scuttle - Classic early 20th century copper coal hod with decorative lion head mounts and blue and white porcelain handle grips. Tall pouring lip design typical of European fireplace accessories from the early 1900s. Measures 18\" to lip, width near bottom about 9\", base diameter 6-3/4\". I\'m told the blue transfer pattern on the white porcelain handles is Delft style (not hand-painted). If that is the case, this scuttle could be Dutch pre-1920\'s. I\'m absolutely not an authority so please study the pics and come to your own conclusion.
