Fenton Colonial Blue early 1960's Hobnail Fairy Lamp with unpolished chimney:
$175.00
Thisblue hobnail fairy lampcompletely unmarked is almost certainly a mid-20th-century vintage 1962-1970 production piece from Fenton and sold primarily with a paper sticker rather than a molded-in logo. The Fenton Colonial Blue Cobalt Hobnail Glass Fairy Lamp is a vintage piece featuring a beautiful blue color with a dome-shaped shade andglossy finish. The decorative and stylish design makes it a unique and eye-catching addition to any home. The "rough edge" around the top opening (chimney hole or vent) of a Fenton hobnail dome or shade is a common artifact of their manufacturing process. When these pressed-glass pieces were made, the top opening was often sheared manually while hot, frequently leaving a slightly rough, uneven, or matte texture right along the inner rim of the chimney hole rather than a perfectly smooth, machine-rolled finish. Fenton did not start fire-polishing the chimney hole and stamping these lamps until 1971. This lamp is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks.
