A particularly attractive Victorian sterling silver christening set by Atkin Brothers, fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1866.
The set comprises a spoon, fork and napkin ring, each finely decorated with crisp engraved and bright-cut foliate ornament, with period script monograms adding to the original Victorian character.
The quality of the engraving is noticeably better than many standard christening sets of the period, with especially detailed decoration to the spoon bowl, fork and napkin ring.
Presented in its original fitted black leather-covered case, retaining the deep burgundy velvet and silk interior.
