A: The S3 is a network audio player (Streamer) that can play music from streaming services (Spotify/Tidal, etc.), mobile phones, or local networks via Wi-Fi or wired network (RJ45) interface, and output to an amplifier/decoder or powered speakers.

A: Currently, Roon Ready is still in the certification process, and we are actively advancing the certification process with Roon Labs.
Until certification is completed, you can still use the device to play music in the Roon App in the following ways:

A: The S3 simply adds network connectivity to the ZD3. The S3 primarily handles music streaming and network connectivity, and comes with its own app; all other functions are the same.

A: It supports playing music from a NAS; playback can be achieved via Roon or using the DLNA (UPnP) protocol.

A: Yes; using the OPT output will bypass the S3's internal DAC.
Q: How do I restore factory settings?
A: There are two methods:
APP: After completing the connection, you can directly restore factory settings within the APP;
Body Button: Press and hold the "pair/out" button for 5 seconds to restore factory settings. The indicator light will cycle for 15 seconds.
Q: What should I do if the S3 has no sound?
A: If your S3 has no sound output, please check the following:
- Volume Settings:
Ensure the volume is turned up in the Fosi Audio App and on the connected external device (e.g., AV receiver or amplifier/DAC).
- Input Source Selection:
Confirm that the receiver or audio device has selected the correct input source corresponding to the WiiM Ultra output.
- Audio Output Settings:
Confirm that the correct audio output has been selected in the Fosi Audio App.
- Physical Connections:
Check that all cables between the WiiM Ultra and the receiver or audio device are properly plugged in and securely connected.
Q: How to use the Multiroom feature on the S3?
A: Google Cast and AirPlay2 support the Multiroom feature. The S3 only supports the Multiroom feature via these two protocols.
Q: Can multiple phones control the same S3?
A:
- All phones need to download the Fosi Audio app first.
- One phone needs to be successfully connected to the S3 first.
- Multiple phones can control the S3 from any phone as long as they are on the same network.
Q: The Fosi Audio App includes some features such as mute control and clock settings, but these don't work on the S3. Why is this?
A: We are continuously optimizing the app's functionality and overall user experience.
