Condition
Preowned vintage Franklin Mint precision model in very good overall condition. The automobile displays beautifully with excellent detail and finish. Please review all photos closely for condition and completeness. Original outer cardboard shipping box shows storage wear, creasing, discoloration and other age related blemishes. Styrofoam and packing materials also show normal age and storage wear.

Rare Franklin Mint Precision Models 1899 Packard A1 in impressive 1:16 scale.
According to the original Certificate of Authenticity, this precision engineered model was constructed from more than 100 separate components and was assembled and finished by hand.
A beautiful early automobile model with exceptional detail throughout, including the spoked wheels, suspension, lamps, seating, steering controls, engine compartment and numerous small fittings.

The model itself appears to have been very well cared for and presents extremely well. I do not see any obvious major damage in the photographs, but because this is a detailed vintage model with many small components, please enlarge and inspect all photos carefully as they are an important part of the description.
The original outer cardboard carton is not mint and has expected storage wear including creases, surface marks, discoloration and wear around the top/flaps. The internal packing materials show age related wear and discoloration as well
Also included is the small removable hand crank accessory shown in the photos. It was found stored in a plastic bag at the bottom of the original Styrofoam packaging. I did not attempt to install it on the model because I did not want to risk damaging any of the delicate parts. It will remain in the plastic bag and will be included with the model exactly as found.
