Fully Restored Pioneer Sx-1280 Vintage Receiver For Sale

This 185 watt per channel rated monster receiver tested out at over 200 watts after restoration. The unit was restored by a renowned technician who owned a Pioneer warranty service center. The power supply and power protect PCB\'s were replaced with brand ones from Delta Nine Electronics. The filter caps were replaced with TDK Epcos caps not the cheap blue chemicon caps most often seen. The Epcos caps have a much higher ripple current rating and 4 times the lifespan of the chemicons. All other capacitors, transisitors (including Allen Organ new old stock 2SD746A and 2SB706A output transistors), trimmer pots and known problematic diodes were replaced. The new outputs are rated for the SX-1980 so paired with the Delta Nine Power protect and power supply PCB\'s this unit will run reliably for decades. It is cosmetically great. The only major flaw which is unseen is the acrylic light diffuser was cracked in two places but repaired with acrylic weld. I included a photo of it lit up to show it has no effect on the illumination. Everything works as it should and sounds great. With it being a 50 year old piece its is in amazing shape but is being sold as is no returns. I have shipped big receivers before so it will be packed properly for shipping.
