This is a listing for one reproduction top quality Czech made German pre WW2 M31 helmet liner as first used on the M1916 -18 model helmets starting in 1931. These were a transitional helmet liner that was to be used universally on the WW1 steel helmets. Later the M35 liner with the reinforced sides was used in the M35 helmets. The liner is made to be exactly like the original with the proper details. Quality spring steel inner band with aluminum outer band that that does not yet have the reinforced side around the square chinstrap rings. The string has been specially sourced to be as close to the original as possible as you can see in the pictures. As on the originals the size 55 up to and including the size 59 liner have the correct 8 fingers and the larger sizes (60 and above) have 9 fingers as it was with originals. see the last picture to see the 9 finger larger size liner. The outer band has the shell and hat size on one side.

The way you find the shell size is to look on the inside skirt of the helmet where the left ear is when wearing it or look at the rear back of the flared skirt. There you will find a set of two digits after a set of one to three letters that indicates the shell size as above. If the marking is too faint to read you can make a very exact measurement down to the millimeter of the circumference of the shell at the level of the rivets and let me know the results, I can then find the size of the shell from that.
