Function

The system activates automatically when reverse gear is engaged. When an obstacle is detected, the audio system mutes and a pulsating tone sounds through the rear speakers, becoming a constant tone at approximately 30 cm from the obstacle. Remaining distance is also shown on the center console display. The system can be disabled via the console switch, and deactivates automatically when a trailer module is present.

Confirmed application: 2007 and later second-generation Volvo S80 (P3 platform). Volvo catalogued this kit across the full S80 production run with chassis-number breakpoints.
