This is a hardcover portfolio of photographs ofPlymouth Massachusetts entitled "Glimpses of Pilgrim Plymouth." It is dated 1890. The photographshave a beautiful sepia tone and lots of detail. Each photo has a tissue overlay with a short article or key to the photo.
There are 20 pages of photogravures plus the title page.The page measures9 x 8inches (23.5 x20 cm).
Produced by the Albertype Company as a set of mechanical photogravure prints. It is undated, but the height of the Albertype company were the mid to late 1890s. The photos are all pre-automobile.
