This carved Father Christmas wears a long green coat painted like a decorated tree. Where it opens in front, a painted Santa drives his sleigh and reindeer across the snow on a moonlit night.

Our carver starts with solid natural wood, seasoned for years, and carves him by hand like a small sculpture. The little tree on his shoulder is part of the same carving. Only his staff is made as a separate piece. Every color comes from a professional artist working by hand in water-based acrylics, and the base carries that artist\'s signature.

ABOUT THIS SANTA
That night scene is where the artist slows down. Santa, the sleigh, one reindeer, the gold reins and a moon in glowing clouds all fit on a narrow strip of the coat. It reads like a page from The Night Before Christmas. The rest of the coat takes several more days. Around the back, you\'ll find baubles on painted pine boughs right down to a red band at the hem. His staff with its starry green top pulls out of a hole in his mitten. He\'s a fresh addition to a Santa collection or a green and red Christmas mantel.
