Guy Buffet is one of America’s most popular artists. Born in Paris, he first visited Hawaii in 1963 as an official artist of the French Navy. He returned a year later and now lives on the island of Maui.
Buffet’s work features scenes from Hawaii and France, as well as other locations such as Tahiti and California.
Buffet, who grew up working in his family’s Paris restaurant, is also known for his paintings celebrating the good life surrounded by food and wine.
