About the Artist: PierreAugustin was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on February 14,1945. Hebegan painting at a very early age. He was encouraged by DeWitt Peters to join the Centre d'Art in Haiti. After joining, hisextraordinary talent was immediately recognized amongst art experts. He is amaster of historical and voodoo scenes .
He has won several awards both in Haiti andabroad for his superb work. His worksare included in the permanent collections of the Musee d'Art Haitien du CollegeSaint Pierre in Port-au-Prince and the Ramapo College of New Jersey
