HERMÈS Vintage Passementerie Silk Scarf 34” Françoise Heron Brown Carré 90 For Sale

Beautiful vintage HERMÈS “Passementerie” Carré 90 scarf in 100% silk, featuring the celebrated design by Françoise Heron.

This scarf was purchased new by the current/original owner directly from an Hermès boutique, believed to have been purchased in the late 1980s to early/mid-1990s, and has remained in the same ownership since purchase.

The intricate Passementerie composition depicts an extraordinary assortment of decorative tassels, braided cords, fringes and ornamental trimmings displayed on wooden racks.

This example has a particularly elegant deep chocolate-brown ground, with the detailed passementerie rendered in warm shades of gold, caramel, cream, rust, orange and burgundy.

Both the “Passementerie” title and “HERMÈS-PARIS” signature are incorporated into the artwork.

The scarf measures approximately 34” × 34” and features traditional hand-rolled edges.

The original fabric/care label remains attached and confirms:

Passementerie is a classic Françoise Heron design originally created for Hermès decades earlier and subsequently produced in later issues and colorways. This scarf is not represented as an original 1960s issue.

Very good pre-owned vintage condition overall.

The silk retains rich color and a beautiful sheen, and the hand-rolled edges present nicely. The original Hermès fabric/care label remains attached.
