ABOUT THE ARTIST: Dieudonne Cedor was born March 8, 1925 in Anse-a-Veau and was educated at the CollegeBeaubrun Ardouin. He joined the Art Center in 1947, and the following yearserved on its administrative committee, both as a teacher and member of theboard of directors. In 1950 he was one of the founding members of the Foyer desArts Plastiques with the following artists: Lucien Price, Max Pinchinat, NehemyJean, Alexandre Jeanty, Daniel Lafontant, etc.
He participated with Luckner Lazard and Roland Dorcely, at thefoundation of the \"Galerie Brochette\" in 1956, where he stayed \'till1962. He\'s one of the most seen and respected artists of that time. In 1957, hewas named director of the museum of Beaux-Arts of Port-Au-Prince. He acceptedthe post and resigned 24 hours later. From 1969 to 1976, he worked as artisticcounselor at \"Galerie Nader\" of Port-Au-Prince.
