Handmade Studio Pottery Dish - Beet/Radish Maker\'s Mark - Abstract Glaze, 4\" For Sale

This is a small wheel-thrown stoneware dish with a bold, painterly glaze. A cream base is covered in sponged and spattered chocolate-brown. On top of that are splashes of cobalt blue, dots of red, and a hand-drawn green five-pointed star. The interior has a glossy finish, and the brown mottling carries over the outside of the rim and foot. It would work well as a ring dish, trinket tray, spoon rest, or small display piece.

✍️ MAKER\'S MARK: The base has a hand-incised drawing of a beet or radish with leaves instead of a written signature. The mark is carved cleanly and deeply into the speckled, unglazed clay. There is no name, date, or studio stamp.

The dish is in very good condition. Please look at all photos.

• Other: No repairs or odors noticed.

Hand washing is recommended. Because the maker is unknown and the glaze is crazed, the dish is best for decoration or dry items, not food.
