Dedication page is inscribed and signed by James A. Michener, dated Sept. 9, 1977. Half-title page has a previous-owner bookplate/sticker for Emlen House. Dust jacket shows heavy wear, including foxing, staining, rubbing, creasing, edge tears, chipping, tape/tape residue, and general soiling, most noticeable along the top edges, spine, and corners. Not a first printing.
