This Costume Was Worn in the First Attempt at this Film Directed by Josef von Sternberg.It Might Have Been Entirely Different as Far as Success.The Cast Included Walter Pigeon, Lana Turner, Ina Claire, and Adrienne Ames, all first stringers!All Were Replaced with Kent Taylor, Laraine Day, Verree Teasdale, and Frances Drake, all second stringersWhen Louis B. Mayer interfered so heavily that von Sternberg walked off the set, the film was shut down.The Second Attempt Turned Out to Be Not Only a Poor Film, but a Joke in the Industry as \"I Re-take This Woman.\"
Personally, I Love This Film Because it Showcases Hedy so Beautifully! And, the Costumes are Wonderful.This Particular Photo Shoot Has Most of My Favorites Pictures of Lamarr. She Was Young, Fresh, and Drop-DeadGORGEOUS!
