In Sept. 1987, Arnold Herstand & Company hosted a rare, highly publicized exhibition titled \"The Drawings of Henri Cartier-Bresson\" which a catalog book was published from the exhibition.
This original painting was purchased from the exhibition and bears the original gallery label on mat verso.
Original paintings by Cartier-Bresson are INSANELY rare and uncommon to find anywhere in public hands. Almost all of his paintings remain in the collection of the Cartier-Bresson Foundation in Paris.
