Indo-Persian miniature painted in gouache with a gold sky on a leaf from a Persian manuscript, framed by an ornamental border and by cartouches of calligraphic text, with notes in the right margin. Horsemen with bows pursue a deer among colored rocks and small flowering trees, while two seated figures drink a toast in the foreground.The leaf keeps its numbering and the original text on both sides, a sign that it comes from a disbound illustrated manuscript.Medium: Gouache and gold on paper.
