India Stamps of Queen Victoria & Edward VII incl. SG44, SG49, SG57, SG64, SG107 For Sale

Selection of definitive stamps of British India issued between 1856 and 1906.I have added my good-faith identifications of the most significant stamps where I am reasonably confident in the identification (or where the only alternative is a slightly different color whose catalogue value is almost the same). For some of the stamps in the top row I have include pictures of the rear of the stamps sitting in watermark fluid to aid identification.
Highlights include:

• Extremely fine used 2 rupee Big Ole\' Queen Victoria SG107 Scott #50
• 2 anna SG44 orange no watermark
• 4 anna green SG64
• 8 anna Die 1 SG49 (third stamp in second row).
  
• 8 pies purple SG52 (without watermark) and SG57 (different paper, with watermark)

They are arranged roughly in four chronological groups (and one additional group) and by denomination within each group, so that stamps of similar shades and design are placed close to each other even if they are not strictly in chronological order.
The (fairly obvious) five groups are

• \"East India Postage\" stamps, up to 1876 when British India was administered by the East India Company.
• Stamps of Queen Victoria after she assumed the title Empress of India in 1877 up to 1891: the word \"East\" no longer appears on the stamps.
• Distinctive stamps of late Queen Victoria with a different portrait
• Stamps of Edward VII.
• Stamps for official use, overprinted \"Service\" or \"On H M S\".
