This particular watch is just one minute faster in many years.The day,the date,the month,the hour are all exact now after so many years. I don't know about the battery status,but I think it should be replaced.
This is not an easy way to program .
Once programmed it keeps every data until many more years .It adjusts itself automatically for month 's different days.
I has a huge lithium battery like CR2016 I think( it has been many years since I replaced it,then you have to get the instructions on line to program it then totally forget about it ,It will show you everything correct for many years.
One warning though: when you pull the screw down crown ( you turn it contra clock 2 to 3 turns then you can pull it out(actually it goes out automatically by a spring) in order to program the watch make sure you push it back and screw it down all the way.
I you forget to pull it back in AND SCREW IT BACK ALL THE WAY AND YOU CATCH THE CROWN ON SOME CLOTHES OR ANYTHING ELSE ,THE STEM CROWN WILL BREAK( IT IS VERY THIN AND YOU WILL NEVER FIND A REPLACEMENT I GUARANTY IT !
I tryed hard to show in the pictures the beautiful range of colors of the mother of pearls white dial but all my pictures DONT REALY SHOW THE BEAUTY OF THIS TIME PIECE !!!
I found on you tube the instructions of replacing the battery(CR2016 lithium) and full programing.I will do that for you.
So the watch will arrive to you with a brand new battery and fully programmed.
You don't need to do nothing to this watch for at least 7 years if not more.It is programmed by the factory to show the right day ,date,month ,the hour,the minute,the second until the end of this century 2099( after it is correct programed)
More,the screw down crown ( keep it screw in all the way and tight and the screw back plate will give you a good water resistance ( OK to swimm and shower but not scuba diver) It comes with a new oiled O ring seal,new battery and new programing good until 2099. The small strap to hold the leather strap end is missing so I provided 2 rubber bands color black and green as you see in the picture.
