Up for sale is a stunning, 100% authentic 1968 North American first pressing of The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s masterpiece, Electric Ladyland (Reprise Records, 2RS 6307). This highly coveted set was manufactured at Columbia’s historic Pitman, New Jersey pressing plant, verified by the definitive "P" and Customatrix "o" stamps etched in the deadwax. Both vinyl discs are in spectacular Near Mint (NM) condition, retaining their brilliant original factory gloss with almost no visible wear, ensuring a premium, quiet audio playback experience. True to its first-week production run, Side D features the famous, rare manufacturing typographical error ("2RS 6307B" stamped instead of D). The records feature the iconic, original "two-tone" orange and mustard-yellow/tan center labels with the Reprise steamboat logo positioned directly in the upper-left quadrant.
The original gatefold jacket remains beautifully preserved in Very Good Plus (VG+) to Excellent (EX) condition, showcasing vibrant artwork with no major seam splits, a tight spine, light standard ring wear, and two slightly softened corners. Adding immense value to this archival-tier package is the inclusion of both original, period-correct 1968 Reprise promotional printed inner sleeves, which feature only minor, standard handling splits at the bottom seam. This is a pristine, completely cohesive, and matching double-LP set that has escaped the typical wear of the era, making it an absolute center-piece addition for any serious audiophile or vintage rock collector.
