Beautiful vintage hardcover edition of Daphne du Maurier\'s classic novel Jamaica Inn.
This copy is particularly impressive for its exceptionally tight binding and remarkably clean interior. The binding is so firm that we did not force the rear of the book fully open for photographs. All pages remain securely attached.
The binding features tan paper-covered boards with a burgundy leatherette-style spine decorated with gilt geometric designs and lettering.
The primary exterior condition issue is wear to the paper-covered boards. There are two noticeable areas of surface/paper loss where the lighter layer beneath is exposed, as clearly shown in the photographs. Additional light rubbing and age-related surface wear are present.
The burgundy leatherette-style spine has age-related darkening/rubbing and light wear but remains attractive, with the gilt decoration and lettering still visible.
The endpapers show age-related toning and offsetting. Otherwise, the interior is exceptionally clean and crisp for its age, with only light general age toning. No writing or highlighting was observed.
