Created in Amsterdam, Netherlands, these small to medium-sized ORIGIINAL prints showcase exquisite botanical and floral themes, typical of the Baroque/Roccoco period. Each piece is signed by Van Huysum save one with the engraver noted and features intricate detailing.
These one-of-a-kind prints, made on matte chain laid paper are a treasure for any collector of old master prints.
Van HUYSUM is really consider THE botanical artist of the time. The prints are trimmed to near the plateline called THREAD MARGINS . This was very typical of the time and doesn\'t devalue the prints .
