## **Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri (c. 1898–2006)**
* **The Elder of Kabbalists:** Known as "Zaken Ha-Mekubalim," he was the most famous Sephardic Kabbalist of the modern era, living to an age of at least 106.* **Origins:** Born in Baghdad, Iraq, he was a student of the "Ben Ish Chai" and immigrated to Israel in 1922.* **The Humble Scholar:** For decades, he worked as a bookbinder in Jerusalem to support himself, earning the nickname "Rabbi Yitzhak the Binder." He refused to make money from his Torah knowledge until his later years.* **Master of Kabbalah:** He led the "Nachalat Yitzhak" Yeshiva and was considered a master of "Practical Kabbalah." He was world-renowned for writing amulets (*Kameot*) and providing blessings for healing and success.* **Legacy:** He was revered for his photographic memory, extreme modesty, and his role as a spiritual advisor to thousands, including world leaders.
