Jimmie Lee Sudduth Folk Art Painting Vintage Outsider Art Portrait Signed:
$1200.00
Jimmy died in 2007 - he was a prominent folk artist, whose work was ( and IS) featured in many collections and Museums.I aquired this piece when we had an exhibition of Southern Folk Art at the Tampa Museum of Art in the nineties, when folk art was bigger than it is now. The painting measures 17x25 MOL It was simply framed by Mr. Sudduth himself.
THERE IS A RUTHLESS SELLER SOMEWHERE IN BULGARIA WHO IS LISTING FAKE COUNTERFIT PAINTINGS - SUPPOSEDLY BY SUDDUTH AND MANY OTHER ARTISTS ON FOR A FRACTION OF WHAT THE REAL THING SELLS FOR.APPARENTLY IS NOT INTERESTED IN STOPPING THIS SHAMELESS PRACTICE. THERE MUST BE A WORKSHOP SOMEWHERE IN BULGARIA WHERE HAPLESS PEOPLE CHURN OUT COPIES OF PAINTINGS. BEWARE!
