This is a 1999 Pacific Revolution Icons #3 featuring John Elway of the Denver Broncos. The Icons series is a 10-card premium die-cut insert set featuring a shield-shaped design, textured metallic finish, foil accents, and an action image of Elway. These NFL Icons inserts were inserted at approximately 1:121 packs, making them one of the tougher pulls from 1999 Pacific Revolution.
John Elway is a Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback and one of the defining players in Denver Broncos history. He led Denver to back-to-back Super Bowl championships to close his career, earning Super Bowl XXXIII MVP honors in his final NFL game. The reverse of this card highlights Elway becoming only the second quarterback in NFL history at the time to surpass 50,000 career passing yards.
