Up for your consideration is this substantial lot of 31 Laurel & Hardy photo stills, drawn from a mid-century private collection with documented ties directly back to Hal Roach Studios. This lot features multiple stills from many beloved full feature films — we were able to confidently identify a couple of these with some of Laurel & Hardy\'s most famous films, including the WWI veterans\' reunion gag from Blockheads (1938, negative 47-442), and the classic Old West misadventures of Way Out West (1937), pictured here at the iconic \"Brushwood Gulch 2 Miles\" signpost.

The remainder of the lot consists of additional Hal Roach production stills that we were not able to conclusively tie to a specific film title, though they are clearly period-consistent with the rest of the collection, spanning Victorian-era parlor comedies, military uniform gags, and classic slapstick set-ups. This is a very large, mixed lot — what you see in the photos is what you will get, so please review all images closely before offerding/purchasing.

These photos are period-style reprints produced from the original Hal Roach negatives rather than 1930s theatrical release prints, consistent with material distributed to collectors years later. The collection carries genuine provenance: it traces back to a documented Laurel & Hardy collector who corresponded directly with Hal Roach Studios in the 1960s, with a photo of that correspondence shown for reference (the letter itself is NOT included in this sale).
