LIONEL POSTWAR SCARCE BROWN 2257 CABOOSE (Type VI) - Rare - Very Good Condition
This is the type VI version of the 2257 Caboose. According to the Standard Catalog of Lionel Trains by David Doyle, “2257 LIONEL-SP (Type VI): The scarcest of all the 2257 cabooses has a Tuscan-painted body and matching smokejack but, unlike Type V, its markings are rubber-stamped.”
This caboose is in very good condition. The vent from the top of the smokestack is missing and the caboose could use a thorough cleaning. One of the ladders has some surface rust.
