A wonderful and increasingly difficult-to-find antique D.M. Ferry & Co. Standard Seeds wooden seed box featuring its original, beautifully lithographed advertising label mounted inside the lid.
These store seed boxes were used by general stores and hardware merchants to display and organize packets of vegetable and flower seeds. The bold interior graphics—with vibrant reds, blues, greens, and cream tones—make this an outstanding piece of early advertising that displays beautifully whether open or closed.
The original label retains excellent eye appeal with rich color throughout. The box itself has developed the honest wear expected from over a century of use, giving it wonderful character while remaining structurally sound.

* Original interior D.M. Ferry advertising label remains bright and attractive.
* Hinges function properly.
* Small crack to the front panel that does not extend all the way through the wood.
* Typical scratches, finish wear, scuffs, stains, and age-related wear throughout.
* Minor edge wear and losses to portions of the paper label, along with an old paper merchant instruction label remaining in the upper left corner.
* Sold exactly as found and as is with no repairs or restoration.
This is an outstanding piece of early American advertising that would look wonderful in a country store display, farmhouse, garden room, or advertising collection.
