Large Hand Carved Antique Style Running Long Billed Curlew Shorebird Decoy For Sale

Here is a Large Hand Carved Gunning Style Running Curlew Shore Bird Decoy carved by myself (Sam McKamie) It is carved with pocket knife and rasp from cedar after I have done the initial sawing and drilling. This decoy has tack eyes, a hardwood bill, and nice thigh detail. The wings are of separate pieces of cedar and applied with glue and 1/4 inch Dowsas shown in the pictures. I have left the dows unsanded as shown in the pictures The stand is included. It is painted with a gunning style like those old working decoys of the past. This one measures 19 inches from the tip of the tail to the tip of the bill, 14 3/8 inches tall, and 3 1/4 inches thick. This would make a fine addition to any collection!
