This sale is for a Lionel postwar outfit 1479WS. This set is from 1952 and includes the 2056 baby Hudson locomotive, 2046W whistle tender, 6462 gondola, 6465 Sunoco tanker, 6456 LV hopper, 6057 SP caboose a 1033 transformer and 11 sections of track. Also included is a 6019 remote track.
The locomotive, tender and all cars are in EX condition. Locomotive is missing the green marker jewels. Locomotive has operating headlight and a smoke unit. Tender has a whistle,
The locomotive runs well in F/N/R. Headlight and smoke unit work. Tender whistled when tested but I had to tap the shell to get it working.
The set box is complete with all flaps, i would say it is VG. The locomotive box has the insert and the tender box is a little rough but has the insert as well. The car boxes are all pretty nice but the hopper car box is missing one end flap. All cars are nice. All are VG to EX. Only blemish I see in on the caboose. It appears one corner had a crack and it was repaired.
